Nigel Seabrook

Nigel’s counseling foundation began at the College of William & Mary, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in Psychology, and expanded through his M.S.Ed. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Old Dominion University. He integrates evidence-based practices with a relational and cultural style that centers clients’ lived experiences, identity, and context. His therapeutic presence emphasizes collaboration, honesty, and compassion, with the goal of meeting clients exactly where they are and walking alongside them with steadiness and care. Nigel brings experience supporting individuals across the lifespan with concerns related to anxiety, depression symptom reduction, grief, coping skills development, and major life transitions.

Nigel Seabrook believes every person holds the capacity for change, growth, and healing, and that the beauty of being human lies in our ability to learn through both triumph and struggle. He honors the experiences of all people, especially those from marginalized communities, including Black and Brown individuals and LGBTQ+ clients. Grounded in the belief that growth is cyclical rather than linear, Nigel views healing as a process of understanding oneself and practicing radical self-acceptance at every stage. He offers a warm, affirming space where choosing yourself, today, is a powerful first step.

Healing is not about reaching an “end product,” but about continually learning, choosing yourself, and embracing your humanity. Nigel supports clients in building resilience, reconnecting with their strengths, and making meaningful progress one intentional step at a time. For Nigel, counseling is a shared journey, and every session offers an opportunity to begin again.

Motto: Progress begins today, not yesterday nor tomorrow, and the journey starts wherever you choose to begin.
